Storm Watch Declared 'Til 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 8 p.m. tonight in 19 Virginia localities, including Fredericksburg and Stafford, Spotsylvania and King George counties. 

Localized severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging wind gusts are possible throughout the afternoon and evening, according to a NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook.

Forecasts for this afternoon call for temperatures in the upper 80s with partly sunny skies with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Later tonight, forecast call for temperatures in the high 60s with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight.
