Susan Allen and Anne Holton Campaign in Fredericksburg

Susan Allen, wife of Virginia's Republican Senate candidate George Allen, and Anne Holton, wife of Virginia's Democratic Senate candidate Tim Kaine, will both campaign in Fredericksburg on Oct. 10.

Holton will continue her tour of community colleges and universities across Virginia with visits to the University of Mary Washington (UMW) in Fredericksburg and Germanna Community College in Culpeper. During her visit to UMW, Holton will join students for a voter registration drive outside Lee Hall at 11 a.m.

According to the Allen campaign, Susan Allen will make several appearances in Fredericksburg:

• From 9 - 10 a.m. she will be at a 'Meet and Greet' at Amy's Cafe, 103 West Cambridge St.
• From noon - 1:15 p.m. she will speak at the Fredericksburg Women Business Owners Luncheon at Renato's, 422 William St.
• From 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. she will visit downtown businesses.

George Allen and Tim Kaine face each other in the Nov. 6 general election for Virginia's Senate seat. The candidates, both former Virginia governors, faced-off on national television Monday night, "going after each other on everything from women's issues to governing styles as both begin making a final push in one of the most competitive and closely-watched races of the season," reported CBS News.
