Spotsylvania Man Wanted In Dec. 4 Shooting Arrested: Sheriff’s Office

An 18-year-old man from Spotsylvania was arrested in connection to the Dec. 4 shooting of a 22-year-old woman in the Chancellor area.

FREDERICKBURG, VA — A suspect wanted in the shooting of a 22-year-old woman earlier this month near Chancellor is in custody, according to the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office.

Jahvel Antonio Littelford, 18, of Spotsylvania was arrested in connection to a Dec. 4 shooting, which occurred in the 8100 block of Cherry Tree Drive in the Chancellor area, according to authorities.

Deputies responded around 7:02 p.m. to the address on Cherry Tree Drive, where they found a 22-year-old woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the incident report. The deputies provided medical attention until the arrival of emergency medical personnel from Spotsylvania Fire and Rescue. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition, according to authorities.

After identifying Littelford as a suspect in the case, investigators obtained arrest warrants against him for assault; malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony (1st offense), and intentional damage/vandalism.
