Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery at Lafayette Blvd. Citgo

The owner of a Citgo on Lafayette Boulevard reported Friday evening that a male suspect entered the store and brandished a handgun before demanding money from the register.

The owner complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. City officers and a K-9 team from the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of the area but did not locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male wearing a black hoodie with white writing. He was also reportedly wearing a bandana or mask over his face, gloves, blue jeans and black shoes.
