Train Hits, Kills Pedestrian In Fredericksburg On Wednesday
A 21-year-old man died on Wednesday after a VRE commuter train hit him, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A pedestrian died after a train hit him in Fredericksburg on Wednesday morning, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.
Authorities identified the pedestrian as 21-year-old Christian Kinsella, a Fredericksburg resident.
The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning on the train tracks near Prince Edward Street and Frederick Street, police said. Callers reported that a pedestrian had been hit by a train.

Officers started an investigation before the medical examiner arrived at 8:12 a.m., according to the police report.
The trains have been approved to resume their routes, but delays continued for several hours. The Fredericksburg Police Department is working with the medical examiner and the railway's CSX Police Department in their investigation.
