UMW Volleyball Tops Cabrini, Lebanon Valley on Saturday
Eagles sail through Lebanon Valley Invitational Tournament

The University of Mary Washington volleyball team extended its win streak to three and improved to 9-1 on the season with a pair of wins at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational on Saturday. UMW defeated Cabrini College, 18-25, 25-22, 25-23, 32-30, and then beat the host Flying Dutchmen, 23-25, 14-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-8.
In the win over Cabrini, senior setter Katie Shiflett had 54 assists, while Ellen Smethurst had 10 kills, Emma Tennant had six kills, Kaitlynn Wickersham added 14 kills, and Tola Adebanjo led the way with 19 kills.
In the five set win over Lebanon Valley, Wickersham again had 14 kills and also 14 digs, while Adebanjo and Smethurst each had 10 kills. Christine Tran added 13 digs for UMW.
The Eagles will return to action on Wednesday night when they host St. Mary's College in Capital Athletic Conference action from the Anderson Center starting at 7:00 p.m.
