Virginia Weather Forecast: Cool Fall Air Sticking Around, Chance of Rain by Thanksgiving
Fire threat will persist as the week begins, but we'll have a chance for wet weather by Wednesday. Cool air all week. Here's the forecast:

STERLING, VA -- The fire threat in Northern Virginia will continue into Monday, but conditions will improve quickly and we could see rain by Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service. The week starts very cool and temperatures will climb a little as the week goes on.
Winds will slowly decrease beginning Sunday night, but will continue into Tuesday. Gusts Sunday night will reach up to 46 mph, and Monday gusts will reach 33 mph.
The high Monday will be 45 degrees, and 49 degrees on Tuesday, while overnight lows will be below freezing both nights.

We'll hit 51 degrees on Wednesday with mostly sunny skies, and a chance of showers enters the forecast Wednesday night, with a 40 percent chance of precipitation.
The Thanksgiving forecast is a 30 percent chance of rain, with a high temperature near 55 degrees.

THANKSGIVING: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 55. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, with a high near 54.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny, with a high near 53.
