STAFFORD, VA—A convenience store employee was arrested Tuesday for stealing money from the cash register in the Wawa at 9 South Gateway Drive, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Karimah Diggs, 20, of Stafford, was charged with embezzlement.

Shortly before 10 p.m, the store manager reported discovering the register was $800 short. Loss prevention personnel reviewed surveillance camera footage and found that Diggs had been taking money out of the register and putting it in her pocket. She was released on a $2,000 unsecured bond.
