FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Labor Day weekend is traditionally considered the end of summer and many people try to squeeze in one last visit to the beach or dip in the neighborhood pool.
Many services will be closed or adjusted on Monday for the holiday. Here are the closures to know about around Fredericksburg:
Fredericksburg City government offices: Closed on Monday, Sept. 1

Courts: Closed on Sept. 1.
Fredericksburg Regional Transit does not provide service on Monday, Sept. 1.

Department of Motor Vehicles: Virginia DMV offices are closed on Sept. 1, and some services are available online at dmv.virginia.gov
Rappahannock Regional Libraries: All library locations are closed on Sept. 1.
Post offices: Closed on Sept. 1.
Trash and recycling: Curbside trash and recycling collections will take place.
Belman Road Recycling Center and the Stafford Landfill will be closed Sept. 1. Both locations will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
