Woman Robbed at Highway Welcome Center

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 2011

ROBBERY:

Welcome Center, Interstate 95, June 6, 5 p.m. A Florida resident reported that she was outside of her vehicle in the rear parking lot of the rest area and there were four male subjects on foot also in the lot. The victim reported that she and her employee were speaking with the group of subjects when one of them grabbed the purse from her shoulder, removed a large amount of cash from it, then threw the purse on the ground. All four subjects dispersed in different directions. Suspect 1, who grabbed the purse, was described as a white male in his late 20’s with a dark goatee and wearing a red shirt. Suspect 2 was described as a white male in his mid-40’s with a slim face. Suspect 3 was described as a white male of indeterminate age with a muscular build and wearing a tan shirt with “Kloke” written on it. Suspect 4 was described as a white male in his late 30’s, tall and with a medium to large build. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

Mary Washington Healthcare, 2300 Fall Hill Ave, March 23 - June 6 10:20 a.m. An employee reported that two laptop computers were stolen from the boxes in which they were stored. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Newtown Computer Printing, 1115 Tyler St, May 28 – June 6 10 a.m. A maintenance supervisor reported that a window on the rear of the building was broken and two condensers were stolen from the roof. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

The Commons at Cowan Blvd, 2402 Cowan Blvd, June 3 – June 6 7:00 p.m. A resident reported that two rent checks were stolen from the drop box at the office. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARREST:

Russell Hall, 38, of Stafford was arrested for DUI, refusal to submit to a blood or breath test, and impersonating a police officer in the 200 block of Caroline St.

ARRESTS:

Joseph Layman, 21, of no fixed address was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as on outstanding warrants from Spotsylvania County charging him with failure to appear in court.

Timothy Schau, 50, of no fixed address was arrested for aggressive solicitation and on a warrant from Stafford charging him with possession of dangerous drugs.
