Alexandria Earns Two Gold Seals of Approval from The Joint Commission

Alexandria Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center earned two prestigious Gold Seals of Approval® for its quality care and services from The Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. Alexandria earned its Nursing Care Center Accreditation and Post-Acute Care Certification after a rigorous, unannounced onsite review by the independent, nonprofit organization. During the visit, The Joint Commission team evaluated compliance with performance standards across a range of areas, including emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, and leadership.

The Joint Commission’s evidence-based standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement specialists and patients to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance.
