Boy Helps Neighbor In Need During Emergency In Fairfax County
One minute, the 12-year-old boy was riding his bike. The next, he helped save a person's life.

GROVETON, VA—A Fairfax County boy is being praised for his quick response to help get a resident needing medical attention in the Groveton area.
Police say Joseph Yap, 12 had been riding his bike on Rollins Drive when he heard a woman yelling. He went to see what was wrong and found her neighbor had fallen in his front yard.
The woman asked Joseph to call 911, prompting him to run home and tell his mom. Thanks to him, police and the fire and rescue department came within minutes to help the fallen person.

"We want to recognize Joseph for his quick action and willingness to help someone in need!" stated Fairfax County Police in a Facebook post.
