Man Stabbed At Bus Stop In Richmond Highway Corridor: Police
Fairfax County Police are investigating a fatal stabbing in the Richmond Highway corridor. A suspect is wanted.

GROVETON, VA — One person was killed in a stabbing in the Richmond Highway corridor in Groveton Tuesday, according to Fairfax County Police. A suspect has been arrested.
Police had responded around 1:55 p.m. Tuesday to the 6300 block of Richmond Highway for a stabbing. Capt. Jesse Katzman, commander of Fairfax County Police's public affairs bureau, told reporters that a man was stabbed at a bus stop. Officers found the man in the road with multiple upper body stab wounds.
The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but he died of his injuries. The victim was identified as Marvin Waters, 32, of no fixed address.

Police say the suspect left the scene before officers arrived. An altercation between the suspect and victim is suspected. Police believe the stabbing was an isolated incident.
On Sunday, Metro Transit Police located and detained the suspect at the Huntington Metro station. Fairfax County Police responded and arrested Robert Reed, 56, of no fixed address. An investigation had linked Reed to the fatal stabbing. Reed was charged with second-degree murder and two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I/II drugs. He is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
