Chesterbrook Academy Students Donate 100 Gifts to Local Children

Students from Chesterbrook Academy Preschool recently donated more than 100 gifts to Toys for Tots, to benefit local children in need

Students from Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Alexandria recently donated more than 100 gifts they collected for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program. Throughout December, students worked together to collect a variety of gifts for children of all ages. At the close of the drive, students delivered the toys to a local realtor’s office, which was a Toys for Tots drop-off site. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to the community, especially during the holidays.

Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.
