Curative COVID Testing Sites Open Around Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A new COVID-19 testing option will be available in Fairfax County starting Tuesday through mobile laboratory Curative.

Curative will begin offering testing sites at locations around Fairfax County in partnership with the Fairfax County Health Department. The locations will offer PCR tests with results approximately one to two days later. Rapid tests are not offered at these locations.

Testing is available by appointment or on a walk-in basis. Identification is not required, and patients should not have out-of-pocket costs.

The locations and times for testing sites are:

  • Centreville Library, 14200 St. Germain Dr., Centreville, VA: Tuesdays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Bailey's Community Center, 5920 Summers Lane, Falls Church, VA: Tuesdays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Richard Byrd library, 7250 Commerce St., Springfield, VA (starting July 9): Wednesdays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Groveton Baptist Church, 6511 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA: Wednesdays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • New Grand Mart, 6255 Little River Turnpike, Alexandria, VA: Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sundays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • James Lee Community Center: 2855 Annandale Road, Falls Church, VA: Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sundays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Appointments are available at curative.com. Testing is also available at Fairfax County Health Department clinics by appointment by calling 703-324-7404.

Testing is recommended for people who have symptoms of COVID-19 or a COVID-19 exposure, the Fairfax County Health Department says. Anyone who tests positive is encouraged to isolate from others at home.

As of Tuesday, the Fairfax Health District has a seven-day average of 393.6 daily COVID-19 cases, according to Virginia Department of Health data. The case average is down after an increase during the spring, when daily cases reached a peak of 601 on May 25. The Fairfax Health District includes Fairfax County, towns of Vienna, Herndon and Clifton, and cities of Falls Church and Fairfax.
