Free Dental Care Day Is 25-Year Tradition For Mount Vernon Dentists
A day offering free dental services for patients in need has been a longtime offering by the Mount Vernon Center for Dentistry.
HYBLA VALLEY, VA — Dental care can be expensive for families who don't have coverage. To help people in need, Mount Vernon Center for Dentistry has offered a free Dental Day for 25 years.
The next Dental Day will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the dentist's office, 8101 Hinson Farm Rd. Suite 114, Alexandria, VA. Dental services like cleanings, extractions, fillings and dental emergency care will be offered first come, first served.
The dentist's office, led by Dr. James Geren, Dr. Zeyad Mady, Dr. Aishwarya Abbareddy and Dr. Tyler Garlisi, does the free Dental Day at least once a year or two times when possible. The dentist's office was honored by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors for providing dental care for those in need, including through partnerships with nonprofits United Community, New Hope Housing, Good Shepherd Housing and Quality Trust for Individuals With Disabilities.

The event is open to all with no documentation required. Each patient must fill out a short medical history information form that will need to be completed by each patient.
Swann encourages patients to show up early to get in line. There will be entertainment, face painting and other activities throughout the day.
For those who cannot make it and need low-cost dental services, Fairfax County has resources listed on its website.
