Greater Alexandria Restaurants Open For Thanksgiving Day 2023

FORT HUNT, VA — For people who don’t want to spend hours or even days cooking and cleaning up from a big turkey dinner, several restaurants in greater Alexandria are open Thanksgiving Day.

Restaurants open for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 23, offer a range of dining experiences, from fine dining to fast casual to fast food. In some cases, you’ll need to make a reservation, so plan as much as possible. Other restaurants might offer Thanksgiving takeout packages in addition to or in lieu of dine-in service on the holiday.

As always, Patch encourages you to call any restaurant on this list in advance to double-check hours on Thanksgiving Day, as many vary by location. Here are the local restaurants that plan to be open or offering specials:

Richmond Highway corridor

• Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant: A Thanksgiving buffet will be offered on Nov. 23 for $68 for adults and $25 for kids under 10.
• Cedar Knoll: Enjoy a family-style feast at this scenic restaurant.
• Della J's Delectables: Thanksgiving packages will be available to pre-order through 2 p.m. on Nov. 16 for pickup on Nov. 21 or 22. Individual dinners will be available on Nov. 22 as well.
• Chalkboard Wings & BBQ: A Thanksgiving menu is available to pre-order before noon on Sunday, Nov. 19 for pickup on Nov. 21 or 22.

Old Town Alexandria

• Chart House: A three-course menu is available for Thanksgiving.
• Ada’s On The River: A three-course Thanksgiving dinner will be served for $79 per person and $29 for children 12 and under.
• BARCA Pier & Wine Bar: Enjoy Thanksgiving specials and the regular menu, as well as featured cocktail Catoctin Creek Hot Cider.
• King & Rye: A three-course menu is being offered for $63 per person.
• Bastille: Feast on a three-course Thanksgiving menu with French flair for $89 per person.
• Vola’s Dockside Grill: Three-course prix-fixe menus are available for $49 per person or $19 for children 12 and under.
• Le Refuge Restaurant: A three-course Thanksgiving menu will be served with seatings at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
• Laporta's Restaurant: A Thanksgiving dinner is available for $69.99 per person.
• Brabo: Enjoy a prix fixe menu and a la carte menu on Thanksgiving.
• Union Street Public House: Thanksgiving meals are available to order.
• Blackwall Hitch: Enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner buffet at this restaurant.
• Oak Steakhouse: Reservations available.
• Royal Restaurant: Reservations available at this century-old restaurant.
• The Warehouse: Reservations available with Thanksgiving specials.
• Murphy's Grand Irish Pub: Reservations available.
• 219 Restaurant: Reservations available.
• Theismann’s Restaurant and Bar: A Thanksgiving buffet will be offered for $59 per person and $19 for children 12 and under.
• The Majestic: Feast on a three-course Thanksgiving dinner with sides and shareables for $79 per person as well as a Kids Menu for $29.
• Mia’s Italian Kitchen: A three-course prix-fixe menu will be served for $49 per person, and children ages 12 and under can enjoy a Kids Thanksgiving menu.

Del Ray

• Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap: Dine in to enjoy Thanksgiving specials and the regular menu. A takeout Thanksgiving package is also available to order for a Nov. 22 or 23 pickup. The deadline to order is Nov. 16, but orders may sell out before.
• Junction Bakery & Bistro: Thanksgiving orders will be taken until Nov. 19 or as supplies last. Orders must be picked up by 12 p.m. on Nov. 23.
• Matt and Tony's: Order a Thanksgiving package for pickup by 4 p.m. on Nov. 22 or before 2 p.m. on Nov. 23.
• Spice Kraft Indian Bistro: Reservations available.
• Cheesetique: A Thanksgiving Eve online class is being offered with wine and cheese.
