Mount Vernon Plaza To Gain New Fast Casual Restaurant Honeygrow

HYBLA VALLEY, VA — Shoppers at Hybla Valley's Mount Vernon Plaza will have a new fast casual restaurant option to choose from.

Honeygrow, a restaurant specializing in made-to-order stir-frys, salads and dessert option of honeybars, held a grand opening Monday at 7698 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA. The space was formerly occupied by Capital Chicken, which is moving to a location further down Richmond Highway.

This is honeygrow's third Northern Virginia location, with others in Reston and Tysons. The Philadelphia-based restaurant was founded in 2012 and now has over 35 locations around the northeast.

The restaurant seeks to provide wholesome, high-quality ingredients that provide nutrition and flavor. Honeygrow's menu of stir-frys, salads and honeybars offer choices of a base, protein, sauces, dressings, add-ins, garnishes and toppings. One seasonal offering is its Miso Garlic Chicken stir-fry with fresh egg white noodles, roasted chicken, miso corn, caramelized onions, shaved parmesan, chives, and miso garlic sauce. A few other stir-fry options include Garlic Butter Shrimp, Red Coconut Curry, Sesame Garlic or a build-your-own option.

Salads can also be customized, or diners can order signature salads like the Asian Sesame Ginger, Kale Chicken Caesar, Greek Out or more.

Finish off the meal with the honeybar dessert with options like Cheesecake (strawberries, blueberries, streusel crumble and cheesecake filling), Apple Pie (apples, roasted apples, streusel crumble, candied pecans, whipped cream, and our local wildflower honey), or a customizable honeybar.

In-person or online ordering is available, and customers have the option or earning rewards through the honeygrow app. Honeygrow also offers catering with options for 12, 30 and 50 people.
