Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your morning commute on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

On the Road

As of 7:54 a.m., a crash closed two southbound lanes of I-395 in Fairfax County 0.1 miles north of the Route 644 exit (Franconia Road/Old Keene Mill Road). Drivers can expect delays.

As of 7:37 a.m., a crash was reported on eastbound Route 7 after Loudoun County Parkway in Loudoun County. Drivers can continue with caution.

As of 7:33 a.m., a crash was reported on westbound Southern Avenue SE near Urn Street in Washington, DC.

As of 7:23 a.m., a crash was reported on eastbound Old Bridge Road near Rolling Brook Road in Prince William County. Drivers should use caution in the area.

As of 7:21 a.m., a crash is affecting both directions of Alabama Avenue SE near Naylor Road SE in Washington, DC. Drivers can continue with caution.

As of 7:19 a.m., a disabled vehicle has closed the southbound right shoulder on southbound I-495 east of the Eisenhower Avenue Connector in Fairfax County.

As of 7:02 a.m., northbound travel lanes are closed on US-29 on the ramp to westbound I-66 in Fairfax County due to road widening work. Delays are possible.

As of 7:02 a.m., a single lane was getting by a crash on northbound Richmond Highway at Quander Road/Fairhaven Avenue in Fairfax County.

As of 6:17 a.m., Beach Mill Road is closed in both directions near Springvale Road in Fairfax County due to downed wire repairs.

As of 6:13 a.m., a downed tree has closed Old Dominion Drive at Dolley Madison Boulevard in Fairfax County.

On the Rails

On the Orange Line, the Minnesota Ave, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover and New Carrollton remain closed through Labor Day due to a summer platform improvement project. Local and express shuttles are available at Stadium-Armory.

Weather

The weather will be sunny with a high temperature in the mid-80s. At night, clear and lows in the mid-60s.
