Pedestrian Robbed at Gunpoint Along Richmond Highway Friday Night: Police

One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded cash and the victim's phone, according to police.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police report that a pedestrian was robbed at gunpoint Friday night along Richmond Highway. The armed robbery took place in the 7100 block of Richmond Highway (see map below) around 9 p.m.

The pedestrian, 38, was walking home when three men approached him, police said. One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded cash and the victim’s phone, according to police. The suspects ran off down Richmond Highway and fled in a car.

Police said the suspects were described as black, around 16 to 18 years old, and wore dark clothing. The victim did not require medical attention, police said.
