Richmond Highway Doctor Charged with Sexual Battery: Police
Patient, 30, says doctor touched him inappropriately during exam, according to police.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police have charged a doctor employed at HIBP Medical Services, located at 6911 Richmond Highway, for inappropriately touching a patient on Thursday, June 23, police announced Friday.
An investigation determined that the victim, a 30-year-old man, went to the medical center to be seen by a doctor, police said.
The victim was escorted to an exam room. When the doctor entered, he asked the victim general questions for the reason for his visit. During the interview, the doctor asked the victim to remove all of his clothing, according to police. The victim complied and the suspect allegedly proceeded to touch the victim inappropriately as part of the exam, police said. The appointment was concluded and the victim left the medical center. He contacted police later that night.

Detectives of the Sex Crimes Unit took over the investigation and after a lengthy investigation, obtained a criminal warrant on Wednesday, July 13 charging Fausto Fernandez, 75, of Alexandria, with sexual battery. Fernandez turned himself in on Thursday, July 14.
