14 New Retail, Dining Options Coming To Washington Dulles Airport

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and Marketplace Development are bringing 14 new concessions to Washington Dulles Airport.

DULLES, VA — A slate of new concessions are scheduled to begin construction later this year at Washington Dulles International Airport, according to a release from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

The concessions will feature many local brands D.C. area travelers should be familiar with.

“The brands selected will provide customers with a curated Washington region experience,” said Jaimini Erskine, MWAA's vice president for marketing and concessions, in a release. “In this round, numerous proposals were submitted from operators who will bring local flavors and a greater variety of offerings for a memorable experience for our airport passengers.”

The following are the 14 new concessions that will be coming to Dulles Airport:

  • Hudson and Hudson Nonstop (3 locations)- Two locations of this newsstand will have Amazon “just walk out” technology.
  • Market 1962- Small grab-and-go market with pre-packaged snacks and convenience products.
  • Brookstone- Personalized health and wellness electronics store.
  • Starbucks - New location of the national coffeehouse chain.
  • Ink by Hudson- A bookstore embracing trends in popular culture and literature.
  • Potbelly - Fast-casual sandwich shop
  • Freshii- Bowls, smoothies and more. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
  • Gatsby - Full-service D.C.-based restaurant and bar with desserts by Mah Ze Dahr Bakery.
  • Sfoglina - Full-service restaurant and patio and bar. Chef Fabio Trabocchi’s pasta house. Multiple locations in D.C. area. Brand is recognized in Michelin Bib Gourmand 2022.
  • Rappahannock Oyster Co. - Local oysters from the Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay.
  • Auntie Anne’s- Pretzel shop
  • Union Kitchen - D.C.-based grab-and-go market

MWAA and Marketplace Development announced the first phase of concessions redevelopment project last September for both Dulles Airport and Ronald Reagan National Washington National Airport in Arlington. Each airport already has five new concessions in various stages of development that expected to begin opening this summer, according to the release.

Michael DiCosola, president of Marketplace Development, said in a release that the recently awarded concessions will expand the retail and dining options available to travelers at both airports. By 2026, more than 80 new concessions are expected to have opened between both airports.
