'Armed And Dangerous' 25-Year-Old Sought In Herndon Shooting
Herndon Police identified a 25-year-old man as a suspect in Sunday night's shooting at the Worldgate Shopping Centre.

HERNDON, VA — Investigators from the Town of Herndon Police Department have identified 25-year-old Mohamad Abdalla as a suspect in Sunday night’s "malicious wounding"at the Worldgate Centre in Herndon.
Police describe Abdalla as armed and dangerous, warning the public not to approach him but instead call 911.
An HPD officer was patrolling the area of Worldgate Drive and Elden Street around 7:40 p.m., when he reported what he believed to be gunshots coming from Worldgate Shopping Centre, according to police.

Approaching the center, the officer saw a vehicle speed away from the area. Once the officer received clearance, he pursued the vehicle onto the Dulles Toll Road. However, he later lost sight of the vehicle and ended the pursuit, according to police.
While this was going on, HPD received a 911 call concerning someone suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the shopping center. Officers found the victim and began administering lifesaving aid until emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene, according to police.

On Monday morning, police reported that the victim was in stable condition following surgery.
