Fire at Apartment Complex on Jefferson Park Drive

Firefighters responded to reports of an apartment fire at the 13800 block of Jefferson Park Drive in Herndon Monday morning.

The fire reportedly started on the top floor of a four-story apartment building, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson Dan Schmidt.

No one was at the residence at the time the fire started and no injuries were reported, according to Schmidt. The apartment suffered heavy fire damage and the lower floors suffered water damage, WUSA-9 reports.
