• Search for missing 79-year-old Herndon man in third day (wtop.com) — Herndon residents are being asked to help locate 79-year-old Leonard Thompson, a town resident missing since Monday night after his car was found abandoned with a flat tire along I-81 near Troutville. State Police issued a critical missing bulletin, and Thompson, a diabetic without his medication, was last seen on video at a Sterling gas station. Anyone with information should immediately contact Herndon Police or Virginia State Police.
   

• 20 credit card skimmers found across Fairfax County, Herndon: FCPD (fox5dc.com) — If you use ATMs or gas pumps in Herndon, police say to be extra cautious after finding credit card skimmers at local convenience, discount, and grocery stores during a countywide sweep. Fairfax County Police and the U.S. Secret Service removed 20 devices and urge residents to favor contactless payments, bank ATMs, and machines with working chip readers.
   

• Surveillance firm merger to expand ‘space architecture' and use of AI for intelligence (washingtontimes.com) — A Herndon-based satellite intelligence company, HawkEye 360, is expanding its capabilities by acquiring Dallas firm Innovative Signal Analysis to boost AI-driven signals intelligence for U.S. defense and intelligence agencies. The deal strengthens Herndon’s role in national security tech, with HawkEye 360’s growing satellite constellation and major federal contracts supporting advanced, space-based data collection and analysis.
