Herndon Elementary Book Mobile Needs Your Help
Program in need of new or gently used books or donations that can be used to purchase books.

Photo and post were provided.
Last summer, a group of dedicated teachers from Herndon Elementary School spent 4 hours each Wednesday giving out books to their students; we called it the HES Book Mobile!
In total, 8,530 books were given out. We are happy to be doing the project again this summer.

The goals of this project are to:
- Help reduce the loss of reading over the summer months.
- Get “Just Right” books into our student’s hands over the summer.
- Get books into our student’s homes.
- Build community/school relationships.
We are in need of new or gently used books that can be donated to our project, or for monetary donations that can be used to purchase books and other supplies for the summer (like popsicles for students who come out to read with us!)
