NoVA Man Agreed To Meet With An Undercover Officer For Sex With 6-Year-Old Girl
A Herndon man was arrested in D.C. on a child sex charge as part of an MPD-FBI Child Exploitation Task Force sting operation.
HERNDON, VA — A 35-year-old Herndon man was arrested as part of an undercover operation after he traveled to Washington, D.C., to engage in sexual contact with what he believed to be a 6-year-old girl, according to authorities.
On April 21, an undercover officer with the Metropolitan Police Department-FBI Child Exploitation Task Force was monitoring an online chat group where individuals were known to trade images and videos of children, according to court documents.
During a conversation with the officer, Timothy Brockerman expressed his interest in the sexual abuse of children, according to authorities. After the officer said he had access to a child, Brockerman agreed to travel to a location in Washington, D.C., to meet the undercover officer.

Arriving at the pre-arranged location in D.C. on April 29, Brockerman was arrested and charged on a federal count of traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct, according to court documents.
