Herndon Man Wins Lottery Jackpot
A Herndon man won big playing the Cash 5 game from the Virginia Lottery.
HERNDON, VA -- A Herndon man is now $100,000 richer after buying a Virginia Lottery ticket at a local grocery store.
Salwant Singh purchased the ticket from the Giant Foods at 2551 John Milton Drive, and when he realized he had won, he and his wife "were laughing and jumping," he said according to the Virginia Lottery website.
The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 278,256. Cash 5 drawings are held twice daily.
