• Fairfax County Police still looking for people who planted skimming devices (wjla.com) — Herndon shoppers are being urged to double-check card readers after Fairfax County Police found about 20 credit card skimmers at gas stations and convenience stores during a countywide sweep. Officers, working with the U.S. Secret Service, inspected 100 stores and say thieves are targeting both pumps and in-store terminals, recommending tap-to-pay when possible while they continue investigating links to similar scams elsewhere.
