Light Pole Falls Onto Herndon Parkway After Crash: Police
An accident on the Herndon Parkway has resulted in lane closures from a downed light pole, police say.
HERNDON, VA — Police are on the scene of a crash that caused a light pole to fall on the inner loop of Herndon Parkway Monday morning.
The Herndon Police Department tweeted at 10:01 a.m. that the inner loop lanes were closed at Whitewater Place due to an accident, and advised drivers to take another route.
A few minutes later, they tweeted photos of a light pole that had fallen onto the roadway, noting that the Department of Public Works was on the way to remove it.
