Fairfax County Man Charged With Murder After Shooting
Authorities arrested a McLean man following the Friday night shooting, police said.

HERNDON, VA — A McLean man is facing murder charges following a fatal shooting that occurred in Herndon on Friday.
According to Herndon police, officers responded to the 300 block of Elden Street around 9:40 p.m. after receiving calls about a disorderly man at that location. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers treated the man before taking him to a hospital, where he later died.

Shortly after, authorities said officers received a call from 18-year-old Kianmehr Shirinipaziziba, who told them he shot the victim.
After speaking with witnesses, police charged Shirinipaziziba with second-degree murder and took him into custody.

Shirinipaziziba is currently being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
