Old Dranesville Hunt Club Neighborhood Gets New Trees
The neighborhood's homeowners association and Mayor Merkel planted a dozen free saplings recently as part of a larger enhancement project.
The Old Dranesville Hunt Club neighborhood is looking just a bit prettier these days.
That's because the homeowners association has been hard at work on a multiphase landscaping enhancement project, with help from Campbell Landscaping.

Mayor Lisa Merkel herself came out to assist the homeowners association (HOA) members in the planting of the new tree saplings recently.

HOA President Greg Wilson said, the area the trees were planted in will be known as the "ODHC Memorial Grove," to commemorate neighbors who have passed on.
"We are so pleased [Mayor] Lisa could join us today to help plant our Memorial Grove," said Wilson. "We are a neighborhood of close friends, and over the last two decades we have lost a few of our own. We thought a living memorial of newly-planted trees would be a fitting tribute to their memory."
Old Dranesville Hunt Club is located within the Town of Herndon on Old Hunt Way, Huntsman Place and Crest Drive.
