Herndon Man In Police Custody After Being Charged With Rape, Abduction
Herndon Police charged a 32-year-old town resident with rape and abduction, after being arrested for altercation.

HERNDON, VA — A 32-year-old Herndon man is facing multiple charges, including forcible rape and abduction, according to the Town of Herndon Police.
Police arrested the man on July 20 in connection with an altercation with a person that was known to him in the 1200 block of Springtide Place, according to the weekly crime report.
The suspect was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention center and charged with forcible rape, assault and two counts of abduction, according to police. He remains in custody and is being held without bond.

Between July 17 and July 23, there were a total of 162 traffic violations reported, including two for driving while intoxicated, four for driving without an operators license, two for driving on a suspended or revoked license, and nine for operating a vehicle while holding a phone. There were 18 reportable traffic accidents in Herndon during the week.
