  1. The Fairfax County School Board recently approved a $33 million contract with construction firm R.J. Crowley for the planned renovation of Crossfield Elementary School. The total budget for the project is expected to reach around $49 million. Construction for the new renovation will kick off in spring with an estimated completion date of Spring 2025 and will include a new library, courtyard, and classrooms. (Reston Now)
  2. Fairfax County is one of several Northern Virginia counties on the Metropolitan Council of Governments that is seeking public feedback on its regional fair housing plans. The county's housing goals include plans to increase the amount and ease of access to affordable housing. The public can make comments on the plan through Mar. 31. (InsideNoVa)
  3. The Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department arrested a 15-year-old girl from Herndon for a pair of alleged carjacking incidents and a stabbing over the weekend. The teenager is one of two suspects, the other being a 15-year-old girl from Northeast, arrested as suspects in the reported incidences. (Herndon Patch)
