Town of Herndon Accepting Bids for WO&D Trail Crossing Improvements

The Herndon Department of Public Works is now accepting bids for the renovation of sections of the Washington & Old Dominion Trail Crossing at the corners of Van Buren St., Grace St., Ferndale Ave. and Crestview Dr. in Herndon.

The work will include improvements to the pedestrian access routes across the public street right-of-ways for the trail as well as removal and reconstruction of the existing concrete curb and gutter, handicap ramps, asphalt trail and culvert.

Work will also include associated site work and grading, temporary traffic control, and the installation of traffic signage.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Herndon Municipal Center, located at 777 Lynn Street in Herndon. Stop by the Department of Public Works to receive a bid package or call (703) 435-6853 for more information.
