Youth Jumps Victim Walking Along Herndon Trail: Police
A victim was jumped while walking along a Herndon trail recently, police say.

HERNDON, VA — Police are looking for a suspect after a victim was jumped while walking along a trail in Herndon on Friday afternoon.
The victim was walking in the area of the 13100 block of Worldgate Drive at around 2 p.m. July 19 when he was approached from behind by a male juvenile suspect, according to a report from the Herndon Police Department.
"The suspect struck the victim, inflicting minor injuries, knocking him to the ground," the report states. "The suspect took the victim's wallet and left the area on foot in an unknown direction."

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic youth with curly hair who was about 14 years old, 5'5", of average build, and wearing white basketball-style shorts and a blue or black sports style short sleeve shirt.
