Civil War Tours to Include Occoquan

From May 23 to May 25, about 300 people will come through historic Occoquan as part of a Civil War Tour.

The following article was taken from Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta's May 23 email update.

"Today, May 23, through May 25, ten groups of thirty people will be stopping in Occoquan as part of the 2011 Tauck Civil War Event Tour.  The tour, created by documentary filmmaker Ken Burns and collaborator Dayton Duncan, also includes stops in Prince William County at Manassas National Battlefield Park and the Ben Lomond House.  While in Occoquan the tour groups will eat at Madigan's Waterfront restaurant and take a narrated historical tour by boat of the town's waterfront.  Please be on the lookout for our visitors and extend them a hearty Occoquan welcome."
