Fire Damages Two Lake Ridge Townhouses
Though no one was injured in the May 2 fire, there was about $60,000 in property damage.

Shortly after midnight on May 2, several Lake Ridge residents in the 3400 block of Caledonia Circle had to evacuate their townhouses when an outdoor fire spread to two nearby townhouses.
Both the affected townhouses and the adjacent townhouses were evacuated, accorded to prepared statements by the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department and the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue.
No residents were injured during the blaze, but the fire caused $60,000 in property damage to the two affected townhouses, according to the Fire Marshal’s office.
The fire first spread to the fence and patio of one townhouse. It then ran along the attic line of the row of townhouses until it reached the attic of an adjacent townhouse. When the firefighters arrived, they determined it was a structural fire.
The firefighters divided into two teams to fight the flames. One crew focused on the exterior fire while the other crew kept the fire from further spreading indoors. Within 15 minutes, the fire was under control.
The Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department, the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department, and the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue all responded to the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
