Trader Joe's Not Coming to Woodbridge in Near Future

The grocery store chain recommends readers continue requesting a move to Woodbridge.

Trader Joe's just replied to Supervisor Mike May's request that they open a store in Woodbridge, and while the news isn't all bad for the store's local fans, it looks like Woodbridge will not see a Trader Joe's in the near future.

Facebook page Bring Trader Joe's to Woodbridge, VA shared an excerpt of May's summary of the store's response.

"Although we are not in their two year plan for expansion, they did forward our letter to their real estate team for consideration," May wrote. "They also recommended we continue to fill out the location request forms at www.traderjoes.com/about/location-requests-form.asp."

Prince William County Patch readers have been begging for a Trader Joe's for awhile, and in May's recent letter to Trader Joe's, he suggested that a move to Woodbridge could be very successful to the store.

"So although it’s not coming yet, I am hopeful if we keep pushing we can eventually persuade them that there is a market for them here!" May wrote to Bring Trader Joe's to Woodbridge, VA. "So please tell all your friends and neighbors to fill out those forms and let's keep pushing this issue!"
