Carbonara To Open Second Location In Western Prince William County

Carbonara, which has become a popular dining spot in Arlington, will introduce its second location in Prince William County.

GAINESVILLE, VA — Prince William County will be the landing spot for popular Italian restaurant Carbonara.

Carbonara will open at Virginia Gateway, the former location of Bar Louie (14081 Promenade Commons St, Gainesville, VA). In a video announcement, Chef Mike Cordero, owner of Carbonara, said the restaurant is expected to open in June 2026.

"I can't wait to bring all my favorite dishes, fresh pasta, our carbonara wheel," said Cordero. "This is exciting for us, and it will be a great place for you to hang out."

Carbonara has become a dining favorite in the Ballston neighborhood of Arlington. Some of its signature dishes are the bucatini carbonara prepared tableside in a cheese wheel and its famous chicken parmigiana alla vodka with sauce and cheese poured tableside. Other menu options include selections of appetizers, soups, salads, pastas, steak, chicken, veal, desserts, cocktails, mocktails and other drinks. In 2024, Yelp named Carbonara to its Best New Restaurants list.

The restaurant is one of numerous openings coming to Virginia Gateway in 2026, marking an expansion of businesses in the growing western Prince William County.
