  1. As of Sunday, May 28, the Loudon County Sheriff's Office is investigating a motorcycle crash that occurred on Friday afternoon on the northbound Claiborne Parkway near Harry Byrd Highway. At around 2:37 p.m. Friday, May 26, deputies arrived on the scene of a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle, and a preliminary investigation determined that the rider had lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into the guardrail. The motorist, Erik E. Grier, 34, from Ashburn, was taken to a local area hospital that same day, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead. (Inside NoVA)
  2. Chef Jason Maddens, one of the founders of Ahso Restaurant and its wine shop, Ahso Cellars, is bringing a new Italian steakhouse to the Loudoun County area. Per The Burn, Maddens plans to open a restaurant in a 5,200-square-foot space in the Bram Quarter development, which is being built at the intersection of Loudoun County Parkway and Evergreen Mills Road. The restaurant will be named Dom Nuzzi's Italian Steakhouse in honor of Madden's grandfather, Dominic Nuzzi, who left Madden $25,000 when he passed and helped to jumpstart Madden's culinary career. (The Burn)
  3. Middle schoolers are alleged to have begun a "fight club" in Loudoun County's J. Michael Lunsford Middle School. According to a letter sent out by the principal, some students' parents were aware of their children's participation, and that some fight club events were even held in the homes of children involved. "We cannot tell you how to parent, but when your children create TikToks and Instagram pages using Lunsford's name, and then attempt to hold these fights in our hallways and bathrooms, we will take action," said Principal Carrie Simms.
