Leesburg Man Pleads Guilty to Attempted Strangulation (loudounnow.com) — A Leesburg resident has pleaded guilty to attempted strangulation and attempted abduction of a teenage coworker at a Jimmy John’s on Catoctin Circle. He reported himself to Leesburg Police, underwent mental health evaluation, and received three years of supervised probation that requires treatment, after which the charges may be dismissed if he complies.
   

2. Leesburg Filmmaker Looks to Reinvigorate Project After Pandemic (loudounnow.com) — A Leesburg filmmaker is fighting to bring his long-delayed Olympic-themed movie, “Back on the Water,” back to life after the pandemic scared off investors. Threats Against Schools Under Investigation (loudounnow.com) — Law enforcement is investigating a broad email threat sent to multiple Virginia school divisions, but Loudoun County Public Schools say there’s no specific or credible threat to any LCPS school. Families can expect increased police presence near schools for the next two days, and Leesburg Police say they are not currently investigating anything related to the incident.
