2 Deputies Injured In Leesburg Crash: Sheriff's Office
A pair of Loudoun County deputies were injured when a vehicle crashed into them in Leesburg on Thursday morning, authorities said.

LEESBURG, VA — A crash in Leesburg left two deputies with injuries on Thursday morning, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.
Both deputies suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. One deputy's injuries were serious; both deputies were treated at an area hospital.

Police officials said the driver that crashed into the deputies was a juvenile. They remained at the scene and were released to their parents. Authorities have not announced any criminal charges.
The crash occurred after 8 a.m. on Thursday morning, according to Loudoun County traffic alerts. The deputies, who were members of the motorcycle unit, were driving to an unrelated crash on Watson Road.

Near the intersection of Watson Road and Manber Lane, the juvenile driver crashed into the deputies, authorities said.
"The LCSO sends our thoughts and prayers to the two deputies and their families," sheriff's office officials said in a report. "We wish them a speedy recovery."
The roadway reopened just before 1 p.m. on Thursday.
