2 Seriously Injured In Fiery Leesburg Crash: Police
Authorities are hoping to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a fiery crash in Leesburg on Saturday that seriously injured 2 people.
LEESBURG, VA — An SUV crashed into a pole in Leesburg on Saturday and caught fire, the town's police department said. Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
Two adults, a man and a woman both in their 40s, suffered serious injuries in the crash. They are both in stable condition, the Leesburg Police Department said.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday on Battlefield Parkway NE between Potomac Station Drive NE and East Market Street. Investigators said an SUV was driving southbound when it collided with a light pole and caught fire.

Authorities are still working to determine what caused the crash.

An ambulance took the driver to the hospital for treatment of his serious injuries. The passenger, a woman, was flown to an area hospital, authorities said.
