2 Vehicles Shot In Leesburg, Suspect Sought: Police

Investigators are looking for a man who fired gunshots and hit two vehicles in Leesburg on Thursday morning.

LEESBURG, VA — A man shot two vehicles in Leesburg on Thursday morning, authorities reported.

No injuries were reported in the shooting, the Leesburg Police Department said.

Investigators have not publicly identified any suspects in connection with the shooting. Police officials did not provide any description of the shooter.

The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. on Thursday morning in the 800 block of Buttonwood Terrace NE, according to the police report. The victim told police that he was at a home in the area with three other adults when an argument broke out.

One of the men pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the victim, authorities said. The victim left the home and walked to his vehicle, but the suspect followed him to continue the argument.

"The victim entered his vehicle, and as the victim began to back out of the parking spot the suspect fired the pistol at the victim, striking both the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle and a vehicle parked in a nearby parking spot," the police department said in a news release. "The victim drove away and went to the fire station to seek police assistance."
