John Franklin Orrison, 83

John Franklin Orrison, 83, a longtime resident of Leesburg, VA, passed away at Inova Loudoun Hospital with his family by his side Sunday, May 5, 2013.  Mr. Orrison was born Nov. 20, 1929, in Hamilton, VA, to the late Ruth Brown and George Orrison. A grandson, Alex, also predeceased him. He was a skilled auto body technician, employed by Ector Chevrolet, which later became S&R Chevrolet. He later became manager of Leesburg Auto Body. Mr. Orrison was a devoted Scout Master, and loved gardening, traveling, camping and building projects.

Mr. Orrison is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Dolores Mildred Whitacre Orrison, who passed in Dec. of 2010. He is survived by three children: Nancy Orrison Stephenson (Ronald) of Chesterfield, Virginia, John Franklin “Jackie” Orrison II (Teresa) of Stephens City, Virginia, and Sheri Lyn Page (Scott) of Leesburg; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, in Leesburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Hamilton Baptist Church, 16 E Colonial Hwy, in Hamilton. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
