Armed Robber At Large In Leesburg, Police Warn
The Leesburg police are warning residents after an unidentified man held up a check-cashing store, then fled on foot.

LEESBURG, VA — The Leesburg police are warning town residents to be vigilant as officers search for a man who held up a check-cashing store Friday morning. They released a photo of the man they describe as the armed robber — he's white and has a beard and skinny build, and is wearing green pants and a green hooded sweatshirt.
In the photo, taken by a surveillance camera, the man is carrying in his right hand what appears to be a silver or gray handgun.
The robbery took place at 11:15 a.m. at Loudoun Checks Cashed, in the 20 block of Plaza Street NE, the police said. The robber fled the store on foot.

Officer Michael Drogin, a spokesman for the Leesburg Police Department, said Friday evening that it appeared that nothing was taken in the robbery.
