Assault, Robbery Reported In Bathroom At Tuscarora High School In Leesburg: Police
Authorities are investigating an assault and robbery that was reported in a bathroom at Tuscarora High School in Leesburg on Wednesday.
LEESBURG, VA — A robbery and assault was reported in a bathroom at Tuscarora High School in Leesburg on Wednesday morning, according to the Leesburg Police Department. Authorities said a video of the incident is circulating among students.
The school resource officer at Tuscarora High School learned of the incident around 9 a.m. on Wednesday. A school staff member said there had been a strong-armed robbery involving multiple students in one of the bathrooms.
Through an investigation, police determined that one student assaulted the victim while another took property from him. Police only described the students responsible as "juvenile teenaged suspects."

No injuries were reported in the assault.
In its report, the Leesburg Police Department said a video of the incident was being circulated amongst students.

In a letter to community members, principal Pamela Croft asked parents to review their children's phones and social media accounts. "It is important for parents and guardians to know how their children are using social media accounts, the type of information they are posting and the people they are connected to online," Croft said.
School officials said they did not offer further details because the situation involves possible legal and disciplinary consequences.
"Please be assured that the safety and security of all LCPS students and staff is our highest priority and we take such incidents very seriously," Croft said. "We appreciate parents’ cooperation and support when these situations arise."
Police officials said the investigation was turned over to the Loudoun County Juvenile Court Services Unit to determine criminal charges.
