Business Focus: Recycling is Topic of Chamber Workshop

The Loudoun Chamber's green business education series continues Thursday at GWU with 'Recycling: Beyond Basics'

Want to learn ways to step up your businesses recycling practices? Register for the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce’s workshop Recycling: Beyond Basics. Networking begins at 8 a.m. and the workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. at The George Washington University in Ashburn.

During the event, Gordon Scott, of Forever Green Recycling, will talk about harvesting minerals from e-scrap, and help business go beyond basic recycling.

The workshop is part of the chamber’s “Wake up to a Greener Loudoun,” a free educational series which explores ways businesses can improve their bottom line through sustainable practices. And businesses that attend will earn points in the Loudoun Green Business Challenge.

In August 22, the series will focus on building a business case for sustainability with a presentation by Joel Sigler of Kaiser Permanente.
