Child Killed, 6 Hurt In Car Vs. Ambulance Crash In Leesburg
The crash between a Honda Accord and a private company ambulance happened at the intersection of East Market Street on Friday, police said.
LEESBURG, VA — A child died and six others were injured Friday night when a car and ambulance crashed in Leesburg, authorities said.
According to Leesburg police, the crash between a 2017 Honda Accord and a private company ambulance happened at the intersection of East Market Street and the Leesburg Bypass around 9 p.m.
A child riding in the Honda was taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead, police said. The juvenile driver and two additional passengers — one juvenile and one adult — were also taken to the hospital, where they remain in stable condition.

The ambulance was occupied by two employees of the company and one adult patient, police said. All three were taken to the hospital where two remain in stable condition.
Authorities did not release additional information about the collision.
